On occasion of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the Head Office in Bangkok prepared the poster of the management’s statement to all staff on the significance of safety in not only at work but at home as well in order to encourage safety culture to family members of the staff. The poster, showing the rules of practice on safety and health in daily life, was exhibited on the bulletin board of each floor. Moreover, each department organized its own “safety talk” session by application the Group’s guideline as the approach to induce the staff to share their relevant opinions, suggestions and experiences among them. Such session will be consistently and continuously organized later on.

Pukrang plant also organized the event on safety and health at work by encouraging its staff join in the “safety mascot contest” including the show of safety clothes and accessories and the safety for working at height on the stage. Besides, there were the safety exhibition and body checkup service for the company’s contractors.

Takli plant started its event on safety with the speech of Mr. Ferrario. Furthermore, the plant had invited Chief of Safety Welfare and Labor Protection Department of Nakhon Sawan Province to be the guest speaker on safety at work for the staff as well as the knowledge and insight on narcotics including the instruction of self health care. Free basic medical services such as elementary health checkup, body mass index measurement and health food demonstration were organized by courtesy of Takli Hospital.

Cha-am plant also organized the safety exhibition, the presentation of the message from ILO and ITC, the debate contest on the topic of “Emerging risks and new patterns of prevention in a changing world of work”, the essay contest on the topic of the concern of the staff’s children to their parents and the training on 5-SOP to the staff.
