Asia Cement and Asia Energy Development Establish Joint Venture to Advance Alternative Fuels in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand, 21 October 2026 – Asia Cement Public Company Limited ("Asia Cement"), through Asia Cement Energy Conservation Company Limited ("ACEC"), and Asia Energy Development Co., Ltd. ("AED"), have entered into a strategic partnership for the establishment of Asia Circular Energy Co., Ltd. ("ACE"), a jointly owned company dedicated to alternative fuel production and sustainable waste management.

The partnership marks an important milestone in supporting sustainable waste management while accelerating the transition towards lower-carbon cement production. By combining Asia Cement's industrial and operational expertise with AED's waste processing and alternative fuel capabilities, both companies aim to enhance the long-term availability and quality of Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) and other alternative fuels for cement manufacturing.

As Thailand continues to face increasing waste management challenges and growing demand for alternative energy solutions, the collaboration will support the transformation of non-recyclable waste into valuable energy resources. The initiative aims to reduce landfill dependency, conserve natural resources, and lower greenhouse gas emissions associated with conventional fossil fuel consumption.

AED has been a trusted alternative fuel supplier to Asia Cement for more than a decade and operates a waste processing and RDF production facility close to Asia Cement's Pukrang Plant in the Saraburi Province. The proximity of the facility provides significant operational and logistics advantages, supporting reliable and efficient fuel supply while enabling future growth in alternative fuel utilization.

Through Asia Circular Energy Co., Ltd., both partners intend to further develop waste-to-resource solutions, expand alternative fuel production capacity, and strengthen long-term fuel supply reliability. The joint venture will leverage the strengths of both shareholders to support Asia Cement's sustainability and decarbonization roadmap, contributing to greater resource efficiency and the continued development of Thailand’s circular economy.
