TCMA Signs MoU with the Government of Saskatchewan, Canada to Strengthen Cooperation on Clean Energy and Low-Carbon Technologies
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 hrs., at Sukhumvit Room 1, 3rd Floor, JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok,the Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Saskatchewan, Canada, represented by the Ministry of Trade and Export Development. The MoU aims to foster sustainable development in the cement industry through international collaboration.
The signing ceremony was honored by the presence of Minister Warren Kaeding, representing the Government of Saskatchewan, and Mr. Nopadol Ramyarupa, TCMA Vice-Chairman and Acting Chairman, who jointly signed the agreement.
Key highlights of the MoU include:
- Purpose of Cooperation
To strengthen bilateral relations and promote sustainable industrial development, with a focus on clean energy and low-carbon technologies.
- Knowledge and Expertise Exchange
Both parties will collaborate to develop and exchange knowledge, expertise, and innovations in energy transition, green energy, and carbon capture, storage, and utilization (CCSU).
Forms of Collaboration and Pilot Projects
The cooperation will encompass various forms, including exploring the feasibility of launching pilot projects within the “Saraburi Sandbox” — a designated area for testing and developing environmentally friendly industrial practices.
This MoU reflects TCMA’s commitment to driving the Thai cement industry toward sustainability and building international partnerships to address future environmental and energy challenges.
